Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistant for our Pathology office to join our team in Fargo, North Dakota. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our pathology department by providing administrative support. Education Qualifications:

Key Duties:

• Accessioning patient reports for additions and corrections to patient information.
• Preparation of conference cases for pathologists.
• Handling and tracking incoming and outgoing non-hazardous patient material within the laboratory information system.
• Receiving and distributing packages and mail throughout the laboratory.
• Sending and responding to fax requests.
• Assisting providers and customers over the phone.
• Filing and organization of non-hazardous patient materials.
• Managing the scheduling of pathologists.
• Promote patient standards of accreditation agencies and state licensure requirements.
• Follows Essentia Health rules and policies to ensure safety and quality.

Experience Requirements:

• Basic computer skills
• Communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Experience in Epic
