Location: Aston, PA | Job Type: Full Time | Pay Type: Hourly

Description: Chalmers & Kubeck, a family owned and operated business, is a service-oriented company seeking experienced Manual and CNC Machinists to start immediately at our Aston, Pennsylvania facility. Our machinists are responsible for reading technical drawings, setting up jobs, running jobs, measuring components, and completing job shop travelers and dimensional records. • We manufacture new machined parts for major Industrial Equipment Manufacturers and provide machining services to support fabricators and the repair of all sorts of Industrial Equipment such as bearing housings, blowers, centrifuges, compressors, fans, gear boxes, heat exchangers, pumps, turbines, valves, and actuators. • At C&K there are opportunities to operate a wide array of machine tools including Blanchard grinders, Bridgeport style milling machines, engine lathes, hobbing machines, horizontal boring mills (HBMs), key seaters, vertical turning lathes (VTLs), and grinding equipment including ID, OD, and surface and form grinders. • Our machine tools range from small to very large and there are numerous overhead cranes to support equipment set-up activities. In addition to shop work, there are opportunities for field machining and on-site outage support. • The work we do can be challenging (in a good way) and is rarely repetitious (appreciated by any machinist who has been stuck mindlessly cranking out thousands of widgets). Responsibilties: Full Time Position: 40 Hours per Week, Monday - Friday
• Day shift (7:30AM - 4:00PM) or Night Shift (4:00PM - 12:30AM)
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Ongoing Random Drug Testing
• Maintain a Clean Driving Record and possess a Valid Driver's License
• Willing to Undergo Criminal Background Checks
• Wear Required PPE and ALWAYS Work in a Safe Manner
• Work Overtime, as needed, to Support Operational Objectives

Education & Experience: High School or Equivalent

Qualifications: Applicants must demonstrate the following capabilities:
• Set up and operate machining equipment such as engine lathes, Bridgeport style milling machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal boring mills, saws, and surface grinders.
• Read and Interpret Blueprints / Mechanical & Technical Drawings.
• Reliably Measure to within 0.001" (or 0.0005" for grinders) using Analog Micrometers
• Inspect Machined Parts for Quality - Identify and Verify Critical Characteristics - Document Results

Benefits: Hourly Employee Paid Weekly
• Hours over 40 in a Week are at 1.5 x Base Pay Rate
• Sunday or Holiday Hours are at 2.0 x Base Pay Rate
